New price: US$23,927.75 / €20,844 Our price: €10,000 We are selling our Schaefer In-Furling Boom "Gamma" as a complete set. The boom came installed on our boat when we bought her. The previous owner loved the system, and we have also appreciated its many advantages while cruising. (overview in the pictures) However, we are planning to sail much more remotely and adventurously over the coming years like around South America, Antarctica, ... For this kind of sailing, we have decided that we prefer to switch to a traditional boom with a lazy bag. Also for getting parts etc, if something would be needed, is not so easy at those places. Condition: The boom is from 2005, so 21 years old, but has only been sailed around 6,000 nautical miles. We recently replaced the 20-year-old stainless-steel sail-track feeder, as the luff rope had been getting damaged. The new (also original) feeder is completely smooth. The mast track shows some UV degradation due to its age and will probably need to be replaced at some point in the future. Included: The sale includes the complete Gamma In-Furling Boom system, as described in Schaefer's Gamma data sheet. (in the pictures) We can also include our 20-year-old mainsail, which was specifically made for this Gamma boom. The sail has also only sailed around 6,000 nm and has been cleaned, impregnated and repaired. (we can negoatiate a very cheap price here) We are currently travelling for the next 1.5 years in the Mediterranean and are happy to arrange something with you if you are interested.
