boatparts.app is a marketplace built only for boat parts, new and used. Every listing sits on a live map, so buyers search outward from wherever they are moored — the next pontoon, the next bay, or the whole coast — and see what they could pick up before they cast off. Nineteen marine categories ask for the specs that actually determine fit: shaft length on an outboard, luff length on a sail, system voltage on a charger. Chat, purchase requests and post-deal ratings are built in. Browsing works without an account, and boatparts.app takes no commission on sales.

  • Filters that speak boat. Each category asks for the specs that determine fit — shaft length, luff length, system voltage — so buyers can judge a part without three rounds of questions.
  • Listings that sail along. When a boat moves on, its listings can move with it: the crews in the next harbour see them as local offers.

The people behind it

boatparts.app is built by Natalie and Moritz Thumann, who have lived and worked aboard their boat Stellar with their two children for four years. The idea came from their own routine: in every new harbour and anchorage the parts hunt started over — new groups, new rules, every listing posted again.
