Beneteau Swift Trawler 35
The Swift Trawler 35 is the 11.29 m flybridge model of Beneteau’s Swift Trawler range, built by Beneteau (SPBI) in France from 2017 until the Swift Trawler 37 replaced it in 2025: a semi-planing motor yacht with naval architecture by Beneteau Power and styling by Andreani Design. Every boat has a single Cummins QSB6.7 of 425 hp on a shaft, a bow thruster and electric trim tabs, an 800 l fuel tank, an owner’s cabin forward, a bunk cabin and one head. Its predecessor, the Swift Trawler 34 of 2009 to about 2017 (Fly, and the 34 S without a helm on the flybridge), had the same single-Cummins layout on a 10.98 m hull; Beneteau counts more than 350 of them. Generator, stern thruster and windlass were options in Europe but standard on North American boats, so the equipment differs from boat to boat.

Good to know
- Every Swift Trawler 35 has the same single Cummins QSB6.7 of 425 hp on a shaft, with a fuel filter with water separator and a sea-water filter, so filters, impellers and engine service parts are Cummins items. Beneteau’s help centre says only the engine maker or its local representative can supply documents and certificates for the engine, so ask a Cummins dealer for the engine manuals.2,5
- Thrusters and generator depend on the market: the North American lists have the stern thruster and a 7.5 kVA generator as standard, the European ones only the bow thruster, with the rest as options. Check what is actually fitted. On early boats the bow thruster is a Quick BTQ 185-65-12, and the optional stern thruster was the same unit.10,3,2,1
- The 800 l aluminium fuel tank came pre-fitted for a fuel-polishing system, and the engine has a fuel filter with water separator. With only one engine, clean fuel matters: ask whether a polishing system was added, and drain the separator bowl regularly.2
- As standard the grey water goes only to an 8 l buffer tank; two 80 l grey-water tanks with deck or overboard emptying were an option. Worth checking if you cruise where grey-water discharge is restricted.2
- Hull and deck are a polyester and glass-fibre sandwich with a balsa core, according to Beneteau’s construction spec. At a survey, have moisture readings taken around deck fittings, the bow roller, stanchion and ladder bases and any holes drilled later.2
- Beneteau does not publish the owner’s manual online. Ask the selling dealer, or e-mail Beneteau (info@beneteau.fr) for a PDF copy, as its help centre explains. The last equipment lists and the e-brochure can still be downloaded from the model page.17,4
