Axopar 25
The Axopar 25 is a trailerable day boat with a small cabin from Axopar Boats Oy of Finland: an 8.00 m GRP hull with a twin-stepped 20° V bottom for one outboard, a raised bow with a two-berth cuddy cabin and an offset console. Axopar showed it as a pre-launch at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2021 and premiered it in Mallorca in spring 2022 in two versions on the same hull, the open Cross Bow with a windscreen only and the Cross Top with a T-top roof frame; it is still in the range for model year (MY) 2026 as the small cabin boat below the 29, 37 and 38. Every boat was priced as a hull without engine, for one outboard of 200–250 hp (200–300 hp from MY2026) with a Mercury pre-rig as an option, and toilet, fresh water, fridge, bow thruster, windlass, trim tabs, plotter and shore power were options too, so used boats differ a lot. BRABUS Line, BRABUS Performance Line and Mediterrana Edition are trim packages on the same boat; the BRABUS Shadow 300 that BRABUS Marine presented as a Cross Bow and Cross Top with a Mercury 300R is only mentioned here, and the electric AX/E 25 is a separate model with its own manual.

Equipment & its manuals
Standard equipment as the builder’s documents list it. Boats were ordered with options and refitted since — check what is actually aboard.
| Item | Model | Manual / page | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outboard | Mercury Verado V81,2MY2022: option ‘Pre Rig, Single, Mercury Verado V8’ on the Cross Top price list and the launch page of May 2022; the engine itself was not in the boat price | — | The list prices the hull without engine and batteries and gives 200–250 hp; Axopar’s consumption figure is for a 250 hp Mercury. Mercury First Mate and a VesselView 502 display were separate pre-rigging options. |
| Outboard | Mercury Verado V6 · Verado V83,4,5,6,7,8,9MY2023–MY2025: option ‘Pre Rig, Single, Mercury Verado V6/V8’ (MY2023 price list, model pages from October 2022 to May 2025); still 200–250 hp | — | Mercury First Mate and VesselView 502 stayed separate options. For another make of outboard the lists offer ‘Hydraulic steering only, single engine not Mercury’, without saying which makes Axopar expects. |
| Outboard | Mercury FourStroke V6 · Verado V810,11,12,13,14,15,16MY2026 (model pages of May 2026): pre-rig for a single Mercury FourStroke V6 or Verado V8, and engine packages from the builder with a Mercury V6 200 hp or Verado V8 250 hp, black or white; the October 2025 list and the April 2026 pages still show ‘Pre Rig, Single, Mercury Verado V6/V8’ | — | The same pages give 200–300 hp, and the 2026 owner’s manual raises the maximum recommended power to 300 hp (224 kW) from the beginning of MY2026. Mercury First Mate (single engine) and VesselView 502 remain options. |
| Outboard | Mercury Verado V8 300 hp17,18,10,11,19,16BRABUS Performance Line, from September 2025 (MY2026): option package for the Cross Bow and Cross Top, only together with the BRABUS Trim Line; ‘normal DTS rigging’, engine in black or white; BRABUS wrapping of hull and roof on the Cross Top | — | Axopar’s news of 1 and 9 September 2025 name a 300 hp Verado V8 for the 25, but the model pages of May 2026 list only Verado V8 engine packages of 250 hp. The builder’s own statements disagree, so check the cowling and the serial number of the engine. The plates and manuals of earlier boats allow 250 hp at most. |
| Steering | —16,20,3All years, standard: hydraulic steering with helm pump and steering cylinder, with or without power assistance depending on the engine; make not named | — | Check the oil level in the helm pump before casting off; for details the manual refers to the steering and outboard makers’ own manuals. From the MY2023 list a ‘hydraulic steering only’ option exists for engines that are not Mercury. |
| Trim tabs | Uflex1,3,15,20,21Option in every year: ‘Trim tabs, joystick control’ on the MY2022 list, ‘Trim tabs’ on the lists from MY2023 | — | The price lists name no make; ‘Uflex’ comes only from labels in the wiring diagrams of the manuals (‘UFLEX OPTION’, ‘TRIM J-STICK (UFLEX)’), and some diagram sheets are shared with the Axopar 22. Read the label on the actuators or the joystick before ordering parts. |
| Bow thruster | —1,3,16Option in every year; the tunnel is prepared in the hull as standard; make not named | — | Runs off the Aux battery in the bow. The manual allows four runs of at most 30 seconds in 25 minutes. |
| Windlass | Quick Blader1Option on the MY2022 list: fixed windlass in the bow with remote control and 30 m of chain | — | ‘Quick Blader’ is how Axopar prints the name, without a fuller Quick model code; read the plate on the windlass before ordering a motor or gypsy. |
| Windlass | —3,15,10,16Option on the lists and pages from MY2023: ‘Fixed windlass in bow’, make not named | — | Powered from the Aux battery, with its fuse in the bow; for letting the chain out by hand with the clutch, the manual points to the windlass maker’s own manual. |
| Chartplotter | Simrad GO12 XSE1Option on the MY2022 list | Simrad GO7 / GO9 / GO12 Parts & service page | Axopar writes ‘Chartplotter Simrad GO 12″ XSE’. |
| Chartplotter | Simrad NSS12 evo3S3,5,6,7,8,9Option MY2023–MY2025: MY2023 price list and model pages from October 2022 to May 2025 | Simrad NSS evo3 / evo3S Parts & service page | Axopar writes ‘Chartplotter Simrad NSS 12 EVO 3S’. |
| Chartplotter | Simrad NSX 9″ · NSX 12″12,22,15,10,11,16Option MY2026 (pages and price list from October 2025): one display, an NSX 9″ or NSX 12″, or the NSS4 12″ in the next row | Simrad NSX Parts & service page | The owner’s manual only says that the boat can have one or several multifunction displays. |
| Chartplotter | Simrad NSS4 12″12,22,15,10,11Option MY2026 (pages and price list from October 2025), as the alternative to the NSX | — | |
| Instruments | —1,3,10,16Option in every year: through-hull echo sounder; make not named | — | Mind the position of the transducer when the boat is lifted, as the manual warns. |
| Toilet | —1,3,10,16,20,21Option in every year: electric toilet with fresh-water flush, macerator and 25 l septic tank; the manual also describes a manual sea-water toilet | — | The model pages’ text says the cabin comes with a sink and toilet as standard, but the standard-equipment lists on the same pages, the price lists and the manual treat the toilet as an option. The wiring diagrams label the control panel as a Jabsco toilet switch panel and the macerator as ‘Jabsco 18590-2092’; that is the only make in the builder’s documents, and some diagram sheets are shared with the Axopar 22. |
| Water pump | —1,3,6,10,16Option in every year: fresh-water system with a shower on the aft deck, the pump built into the tank under the aft deck; 25 l on the MY2022 and MY2023 lists, 32 l from December 2023; make not named | — | Check the filter in the pump once a year. The manual says the water is not for drinking. |
| Fridge | —3,5,10Option from the MY2023 list (not on the MY2022 list): seat base with a top-loading fridge and sink; make not named | — | The soft-decking and Mediterrana deck options come in versions with and without fridge. |
| Bilge pump | —16,1Standard in every year: two electric submersible pumps with float switch (50 l/min each) and one manual pump (35 l/min); makes not named | — | The aft pump sits behind the inspection hatch in the engine bracket, the forward one under the cabin floor; the handle of the manual pump is in the aft sofa or aft of the multistorage. The driver’s floor drains into a small container in front of the toilet with its own pump. |
| Batteries | —16,19,20,1,21Owner’s manuals 2021–2022, 2025 and 2026: two maintenance-free AGM batteries (start and service) in the aft of the boat, plus a separate Aux battery with main switch and fuse in the bow for bow thruster and windlass | — | The manual calls two batteries the standard set-up, yet every price list leaves the batteries out of the price and lists only a battery tray with mount as standard, so what is fitted depends on the dealer. The wiring diagrams show a Blue Sea ANL fuse block (a diagram label only). |
| Charger | 20 A3,15,10,16,21Option on the MY2023 list and the later lists and pages (not on the MY2022 list): EU shore power 230 V with a 20 A charger; the MY2026 pages also list a 110 V version; make not named | — | Axopar’s lists write ‘20Ah Charger’. The wiring diagrams show a ‘25A charger’, Cristec-labelled charger cables and a 30 A galvanic isolator, but the shore-power sheet is headed ‘Axopar 22 shore power unit’, so treat those parts as indicative. Unplug shore power before starting the engine, or the battery isolators may break. |
| Audio system | Clarion · JL Audio1,3,23,10Option in every year: basic system with 2 speakers and premium system with 6 speakers, subwoofer and amplifier; makes named from MY2024 (Clarion, as basic or extended package) and on the MY2026 pages (Clarion basic, JL Audio premium) | — | The MY2022 and MY2023 lists name no make. |
| Canopy & T-top | —1,11,16Options: bimini top (MY2022 Cross Top list); fully enclosed canopy for the Cross Top (MY2026); the manual describes a canopy that extends the console side walls with see-through windows | — | The T-top frame is the Cross Top’s roof; the Cross Bow has only the windscreen. |
| USB outlet | Scanstrut USB-021,10,21Standard in every year: splash-proof USB outlet in the console | — | The price lists and pages say only ‘splash proof USB outlet in the console’; make and type come from a label in the wiring diagrams of the manuals, and some diagram sheets are shared with the Axopar 22, so check the outlet itself before ordering a replacement. |
| Lights | —6,8,1,10LED navigation lights standard in every year; fixed and removable anchor lights in the Cross Top’s standard list only; 8 deck lights and underwater lights as options; makes not named | — | The Cross Bow lists show no anchor lights. |
| Fuel system | —16,1,3All years: EU fuel system as standard, EPA fuel system as an option for US boats; water-separating fuel filter on the suction line | — | Filter and tank valves sit under the driver’s seat; whether the extra filter is fitted depends on the engine. Check the filter for water regularly, and the tank compartment twice a year and before the winter. |

Good to know
- The hull identification number on the starboard side of the stern tells you which boat you have: after FI-AXO comes 5A for a Cross Bow or 5B for a Cross Top, then the boat number, a letter for the build month (A = January), the last digit of the build year and the two-digit model year, as in FI-AXO5A001F122. Quote it when you order parts or pick the manual.16
- Pick the manual by model year: the portal files the ‘Model Year 2021–2022’ edition under ‘Axopar 25 – Model Year 2021–2024’, so it is the one for MY2022 to MY2024 boats, and there are separate editions for 2025 and 2026. The 2021–2022 and 2025 editions contain the wiring diagrams; the 2026 edition is a slim version with the diagrams, the fuel system and the transport dimensions in the appendices file.27,26,20,19,16,21
- Before fitting a bigger outboard, read the builder’s plate at the helm rather than the newest manual: the maximum recommended power is 250 hp (186 kW) up to the 2025 manual and 300 hp (224 kW) only from the beginning of MY2026, when a new plate came in; the engine may weigh at most 313 kg.19,16
- Bow thruster and windlass run on a separate Aux battery with its own main switch and fuse in the bow, so a weak thruster is often just that battery or a tripped windlass fuse. The manual asks for maintenance-free AGM batteries only, wants them taken out for the winter, and says to unplug shore power before starting the engine, otherwise the battery isolators can be damaged.16
- Toilet, fresh water, fridge, bow thruster, windlass, trim tabs, shore power and plotter were all paid options, so two boats of the same year can be equipped very differently. Go by what is actually fitted, not by the brochure line that the cabin comes with a toilet; and if the electric toilet is there, use it regularly, because the manual warns that its macerator can seize after long idle periods and then needs a dealer.1,3,15,10,16
- Weights differ between Axopar’s own documents: the model pages give 1700 kg (Cross Bow) and 1750 kg (Cross Top) without engine, the manuals a hull weight of 1950 kg and 2000 kg without engine but with minimum equipment, and a mass on the trailer of 2644 kg and 2694 kg. The manual wants the trailer to carry the boat with engine, equipment, batteries and fuel and to be slightly nose-heavy; lift only with a lifting beam and straps at the marked points, never with a forklift, and mind the echo-sounder transducer.16,10,11
